Scottsdale, AZ – January 11, 2019 – Associa Arizona partnered with local vendors to host a holiday event benefiting United Methodist Outreach Ministries (UMOM) as part of the Hazelwood Center Winter Carnival.
The annual event provides a fun environment for local youths to enjoy the holidays together. The carnival included a festive photo booth, decorated holiday cookies, ornament making, games, and even a snowball fight. The young adults were provided snacks and holiday favorites including eggnog and hot cocoa. They also got in the holiday spirit by writing thank you letters to deployed soldiers.
“The UMOM mission is to provide homeless and low-income families with food, shelter, and tools to help them become more self-sufficient. This holiday season, we wanted to take that a step further and provide a safe and fun environment for these young adults who had no other place to celebrate the holidays,” stated Rich Orduno, Associa Arizona president. “We are humbled to be a part of the celebration and would like to send a special thanks to our vendor partners: CertaPro Painters, Renco Roofing, AAA Landscape, Preferred Roofing Consultants, and Socher Insurance.”
